Conceptualisation & Art Direction

Excerpts of end-to-end sourcing, conceptualisation and composition of multiple pieces for an art & design magazine (2012-2014).

Selection below includes interview with and work from Naoko Tosa, Zaria Forman, Hsiao-Ron Cheng, Joel A. Rosenthal (courtesy of Metropolitan Museum), and Page Bradley.

Silk Printing & Creative Pattern Cutting

This end-to-end design experiment explored the interplay between nature and wearable art through the lens of botanical transience and textile innovation. I used foraged, dried flowers as the central motif, translating them into a print and pattern design that celebrates impermanence and echoes the ephemerality of flora.

COllage

I use the process of physical collage to meditate on mood boards, set design and print designs. Collage allows me to intuitively explore unexpected relationships between shapes, textures, and materials, creating new visual narratives that wouldn't emerge through linear planning alone. By layering and recombining fragments, I can experiment freely.
